Many people come to therapy noticing patterns that keep repeating, patterns within their relationships, within their families, or in the way they relate to themselves. At times, these patterns can feel rigid, difficult to fully understand and even more challenging to shake. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and begin to understand how these patterns developed and how change becomes possible.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in evidence-based practice. Drawing from attachment-based, interpersonal, and experiential modalities, I work with clients to deepen insight into the emotional patterns that shape their experiences and relationships. Together, we identify the underlying needs, histories, and relational dynamics that influence the present, while building practical tools that support more fulfilling relationships and a stronger sense of self.

I work with adults, couples, and families navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship conflict, and parenting challenges. I have a particular specialization in couples and family therapy and am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—a research-supported model that helps partners move out of painful cycles of disconnection and rebuild trust, safety, and emotional closeness.

A meaningful focus of my work is providing culturally attuned therapy, particularly for Asian and Asian American individuals and couples. Many of the clients I work with are navigating complex cultural dynamics, balancing family expectations, intergenerational values, bicultural identities, and differing communication styles within relationships.

Cultural context often plays a powerful role in shaping how we express emotions, approach conflict, and understand responsibility within families and partnerships. I strive to create a therapeutic space where these experiences are acknowledged, respected, and integrated into the work we do together.

In addition to couples therapy, I offer discernment counseling for couples who feel uncertain about the future of their relationship and want support in deciding whether to work toward repair or move toward separation with greater clarity and intention.

At its core, therapy is about creating a space where you can explore your experiences with honesty and curiosity, develop deeper understanding, and move toward the kind of relationships and life that feel most meaningful to you.
