Therapy is one of the most impactful investments you can make in your Self, your relationships and your future.

Let’s talk about what therapy might look like for you.

No issue is too big or small to bring to therapy. You might be navigating a life transition that is throwing you off your usual game. You might be considering ending your relationship because of recurring conflict. Or you might be struggling to get out of bed because the weight of the world and your responsibilities feels too big.

Whatever it might be — we’re here to help you figure out what you need to feel better.

We’re good at what we do and we will take care of you, every step of the way.

Review our commonly asked questions:

  • That depends! For some, therapy is a life-long practice, a way to stay connected to self and to maintain their wellness.  For others, therapy is more of a drop-in service. Couples preparing for marriage or clients who just moved to a new place may want short-term support and that works too!

  • We believe that anyone can benefit from therapy. That being said, you may particularly benefit from professional support if you find yourself feeling trapped in patterns of thought, emotion and behavior that simply aren’t working for you. Therapy offers clients a space to better understand those patterns and build skills to change them. Though friends and family can lend a sympathetic ear, they likely lack the capacity to consistently hold space, challenge and guide towards growth the way a professional can.

Many patients also turn to therapy in moments of transition or during periods of high stress to bolster their support system and tune up their skills.

  • First of all, yes-therapy IS expensive. We encourage you to think of this as an investment in yourself and to remember that the skills you build in treatment will be with you for the rest of your life.

Our therapists are skilled. They’ve spent time, energy and resources training to be very good at what they do and we believe in paying them accordingly! And, a well compensated therapist is a therapist who is able to take care of themselves and therefore is better able to care for you.

They are able to maintain a manageable caseload, avoid burnout, continue to invest in their professional development and be the best clinician they can be.

  • Finding the right therapist is hard and sometimes we don't get it right. That’s okay! Just let us know and we’ll work to understand where we went wrong and help find someone more suitable to you and your needs.

  • To put it simply-you’ll eventually start to feel better and more equipped to handle what the world throws at you. Though it’s not uncommon to initially feel a bit off kilter (we’re digging up stuff you might have worked hard to bury!), good treatment will eventually lead to an improvement in your feelings of well-being.

Your therapist will work with you to manage expectations and help you anticipate what your progress might look like. Of course, we cannot predict the twists and turns of life or what they will bring up for you, but overall you should start feeling like your understanding of yourself and your coping toolkit are expanding. And if not, let us know! Your feedback is encouraged and always welcome.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
