She/her
I know it's taken a lot to get you to this place. Maybe it's the guilt of trying to prioritize yourself. Maybe it's a mind that won't stop replaying things. Or maybe you're just exhausted from holding up the mask. A lot of the people I work with are high-functioning and thoughtful - painfully aware of their own patterns, and still feel stuck.
This terrain is familiar to me. I'm a first-generation Asian American who spent a decade in tech, accomplished but disconnected from myself. Therapy changed how I show up, with myself and the people I love, and led to a fuller life that feels like my own. If you're navigating cultural and family expectations, perfectionism, identity, or life transitions, I'd love to walk through that with you.
My Philosophy
Through a psychodynamic lens, we'll look at what's underneath the anxiety, perfectionism, and people-pleasing, often patterns you're not fully conscious of.
We will look at how those things play out in a relationship, a decision you keep replaying, or a reaction that felt bigger than the moment called for. I’ve found that understanding what's underneath usually loosens its grip. Alongside that, we'll draw on CBT and DBT to settle the anxious thoughts and become more conscious of what's happening in your body, because so much of what we're truly feeling shows up physically first before our mind takes over. Over time, that tends to look like comfort with a range of feelings, fewer spirals, easier boundaries, and more room to hear your own voice.
I also work closely with couples who may be navigating recurring conflict or growing distance. I'm interested in how unspoken expectations and communication differences build up over time, and how partners can find their way back to each other.
Whatever brings you in, one thing I believe strongly: you're doing the best you can with what you have. There's something more essentially you trying to come through. You don't need to have it all figured out to reach out.
